My friends and I headed to Jack after another run to DnB's on a Thursday night. Our meal just so happen to be interrupted by a group sitting behind us: a white guy, a girl, and an asian fella. The topic in debate: Obama. A lot of us know where Obama stands and what type of candidate he possibly can be; actually anything is better than Bush. At the looks of it, Obama will beat Hillary in the primaries, and will be up against Senator McCain in the November elections. But for ignorant pricks like the white guy behind us, sayings like: "America is not ready for a Black president", "Obama will not win, he has no Midwest votes", "He has no foreign policy", "Not only is he black, but his father is Muslim, so he's not going to win".. quite frankly piss me off. First off, fuck you white boy. You're an idiot. Despite the tryings of the chick and the asian to convince you that you are talking out of your ass, you are the fucking clown of the month in my book. Who gives a shit what race, or what religion our next president is. The abilities of a man are not defined by their appearance nor their beliefs. Our government needs a president who will work for the people not another money hungry asswipe.
Anyway, all I wanted to do here was correct that racist dumbass. 1) America is ready for change, its ready for a Black president. 2) He does have Midwest votes. He's the Senator of Illinois for god's sakes. 3) Until he is president, we won't truly know what his plans are with international issues. But one thing is certain: Obama is against the war in Iraq. Good enough policy for me. 4) Islam has the same beliefs and goodwill as any other religion of good faith.
